Shopping in Mall Road

The main promenade in Mussoorie is called, the Mall. The Mall stretches from Picture Palace from the eastern end to the Public Library at its western end. Restaurants and cafes coexist alongside videogame parlours and souvenir vendors. The Mall Road runs through the town and also offers pleasant views of verdant hills and valleys on almost every nook and corner. It is no doubt the throbbing artery of Mussoorie that gives it life. So, if you want to enjoy a care-free and leisurely stroll, while enjoying the picturesque view of the Doon Valley- this is the place to be!

Ropeway Ride to Gun Hill

They say the best time to enjoy the Ropeway Ride is during the sunset. But, in reality, there is no right time when you get to have a panoramic view of the magnificent Himalayan Ranges, the entire town of Mussoorie and the Doon Valley. Enjoy a ropeway ride to the second highest peak of Mussoorie, at an altitude of 2024m. It can also be negotiated by a bridle path which forks off from Mall Road near Kutchery and takes twenty minutes. The ropeway distance is about 400mtrs and the sheath thrill of the ride is truly memorable.

Zip lining

Zip lining allows you to fly in the air and gets your heart throbbing! Located on the Mussoorie-Dhanaulti-Chamba road, the tour package includes qualified guides to ensure you have a safe and fun experience. Sky Bridge Adventure

Picture this: A bridge that connects two mountains, made of bamboos, ropes and wires. The bridge shakes, too, while you are crossing over it. If you crave adventure, and you want to taste how it feels like to walk on air, then this is the activity for you. Spanning the length of 300 feet and at a height of around 80 feet above the ground, it is the longest adventure bridge in India. It has the capacity to support just 25 people at a time and is worth all the effort.

Trekking, camping, rock climbing at Mussoorie & Dhanaulti

Dhanaulti also known as Dhanaulti, is a hill station 24 km from Mussoorie, and 29 km from Chamba. ECO-Park. It is the main attraction of Dhanaulti. It houses a protected patch of small forest containing Deodar Trees. Mussoorie Forest Department runs Eco-huts for those who come to enjoy serene landscapes of Dhanaulti. Dhanaulti is an ideal place to calm your senses and take a break from the city life. There is an entry fee of Rs 15 for Adults and Rs 10 for Children. Private car, taxi or bus is available for transport.

Rappelling

Rappelling is a popular adventure sport, which will give you the rush of adrenaline. Rappelling will improve your overall concentration skills and is a nice boost to your confidence. Rocks of various sizes are available, as per your requirement, up to 600ft. Located at the Buranskhanda Dist. of Dehradun, it is a must try for anybody seeking thrill and adventure.

Sky Walking will permit you to walk on a single wire rope at a height of 120 ft. that too hands free. If you want to let your freak flag fly, then sky walking is made for you. For those who are not aware of the concept, all it involves is getting attached on a supporting wire rope and walking hands free on it. Trek from M to Dehradun

Trekking up Benog Hills

Trekking on Benog Hills, you will be able to walk through the Benog Hill Quail Wildlife Sanctuary, before you end up at the sacred Hindu Temple by the name of Jwala Devi Temple. Located at an altitude of 2240m, you get to encounter the wildlife that inhabits this place. Scale new heights on this trek and get to experience nature on a different level altogether. Plus, you get to cook your own food!

Trek from Barlowganj to Mossy Falls

What makes this trek different from the rest is that this trek is between two natural waterfalls. This trek shows you the true beauty of Uttaranchal. The fresh air you breathe, the chilly breeze you feel and the truly amazing sight of the snow-capped Himalayan Ranges is a breath taking experience, altogether. This trek starts from Barlowganj, through the Bagh Village and into the Mossy Falls. If this is still not enough, then this area boasts of over 900 different species of wildlife. Night Trek at Hathi Paon

This is a 4 km trek, which takes you through the famous Wishing Well, before you reach the George Everest. You get a glimpse of the night time beauty of the hills. Wine Making

Yes, you read that right. You can make wine from scratch. This is a workshop which will teach you to make wine of different varieties, including vegetables and fruits other than grapes. A trained instructor assists you throughout the process and will even send you a mail with the recipes, after the workshop is over. This is concluded by a wine tasting session.

White Water Rafting

White water rafting is a group activity which requires strength and team spirit. It is a thrilling outdoor activity, and allows you to raft 20 kms against the mighty Yamuna River. You get to view the mighty Himalayas while rafting on an inflatable rubber raft. A word of advice: It is not for the faint of heart.

Trekking to Nag Tibba

Nag Tibba is comparatively less popular and offers one of the best scenic views of the hills. It is located approx. 10,000 feet above sea level, but the climb is worth all the effort. Camping option is available for those who wish to stay overnight and wake up to the beauty of the morning sun. This trek covers the Kedarnath Peak, the Chanabang Peak, the Bandarpoonch Peak as well as the Gangotri Peaks. Do make a point to stop at the Nag Devta Temple on your way back down.
